Systems Administrator

This is a full-time, on-site position located at the Richardson Operations Center (ROC) - 1100 Centennial Blvd, Richardson, TX 75081

Summary

The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining our IT systems, ensuring that they are secure and reliable.  Assists the Department with troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.  The Systems Administrator will be providing technical support to our staff and must be able to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams, users and applications for troubleshooting, problem resolution, training, and communication.  Promotes and maintains the Bank’s mission, values and culture. Provides exceptional communication and service to employees and customers.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Manage user accounts, security access, network servers and server applications.
  • Ensure security measures are in place to protect data and systems through access controls, backups and local firewalls
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for system use.
  • Respond to system outages and provide technical support.
  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery plans.
  • Monitor system performance and provide system optimization.
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Research new technologies and recommend upgrades.
  • Perform patch management and software updates.
  • Create and maintain system monitoring tools.
  • Assists with testing and deploying new internal software releases.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors for application implementation, utilization, troubleshooting, and problem solving
  • May assist in employee supervision as determined by business needs
  • Create and maintain documentation of system configurations, with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
  • Ensures compliance with established Bank policies and procedures.  Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and related laws as they pertain to the Bank Secrecy Act in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Information Program.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; or five years of related experience with IT administrator roles.
  • Knowledge of Windows and other operating systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
  • Familiarity with scripting languages
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Experience & knowledge of networks (LAN, WAN), network protocols and services
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to:

    • Manage multiple projects, work under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • Work in a fast-paced environment.
